Posy Lough has been translating America and American history into crafts and needlework kits for more that two decades. The West Point Crest features the helmet of Pallas Athena over a Greek sword borne on a shield, surmounted by an eagle with wings displayed, and a scroll bearing the academy motto, "DUTY HONOR COUNTRY," and the words, "WEST POINT, MDCCCII, USMA". The eagle's claws hold 13 arrows, representing the 13 original states, and oak and olive branches, traditional symbols of peace. This kit includes Charles Craft material, DMC floss, chart, instructions, and color photograph of finished project. Finished size: 7" by 6.5" on 14 count Charles Craft fabric. |
